Back in 1989 the fiancé, now wife, and I decided that we'd like to travel up to and around Scotland by train. This was before the days when she had Staff Travel Passes. While on the trip we'd stop off in Aviemore to see a friend of mine that I used to work with at Waterloo who now lived in Aviemore. And so the trip began ...
After a hearty breakfast we decided that rather than just go to Aviemore (our friend lived there and we were staying with her) and hang around until she had finished work we'd take a trip to Perth and have a couple of hours there.
1T30 12:30 Inverness to Glasgow Queen Street (Inverness to Perth) 47642.
We arrived in at 14:20 and had a spot of lunch before heading back to the station for the
1S59 Euston to Inverness (Perth to Aviemore) 47636.
Once we met our friend, the two girls got all dressed up and we headed out to a club for the night.
