Heritage Railways
Recently I have been planning a trip with a mate to a heritage railway. He loves steam, I like it. He likes travelling and I love ticking off another line. I thought there isn't really one place that has the info about them I want in one place so I thought why not create one. This page will be for the standard gauge railways. Maybe in the future I will expand to Museums, miniture and narrow gauge ones as well.
Being an old railwayman (BR through and through) I have decided that rather than do it alphabetically I would split it in to the old BR Regions. Eastern, London Midland, Southern and Western. I used my old Miles and Chains books to define the areas.
Also if I have visited the line in question I will write a review of my trip there on a separate page and link in the heritage railway's info.
