The aim of the day was to get a new loco, a bit of new track, a bit of new haulage and hopefully see a few new things Of course one of my days out wouldn't be right without the odd little glitch or annoyance

Setting off from Selhurst I managed a lot earlier train that I intended 2B23 Epsom Downs to Victoria (Selhurst to Victoria) 455832 At Clapham Junction there were a couple of 707 in the carriage wash road; 707018, 707028

Marylebone 07:35 - 11:15
Lots of photos and bumped into a RPI I knew from his days at Kings Cross Thameslink Its here that the first glitch happened When I arrived I saw two class 66s on a Rail Head Treatment Train (RHTT) I was about to go get a couple of photos but there was a minimal queue at 'Upper Crust' and I knew I needed to get lunch Of course the person in front of me wanted about a hundred items and wanted to pay by card that he didn't even have out of rucksack let alone his wallet As I looked over two 165s rolled in followed a couple minutes later by another two thus blocking any chance of a photo of them or the two COLAS machines at the buffers Lots of other photos to be had:

It wasn't freezing at Banbury but it was a bit chilly and quite wet Some great spots but why do some late teen / early twenty lads think it's ok to get pissed up hit on any female they like A right pair of morons got off of one train and one immediately started trying to chat up a young girl on the platform She made it clearly know she was not interested Maybe platform staff should be watching out for this sort of thing Back to the trains

I used to enjoy going to Reading in the past, I even took my wife (then girlfriend) there a couple times and she's still with me LOL At the country end of platform 8 there used to be a bay platform and a nice bit of platform and ramp where you could sit Now it's all fenced off! Such is the Health and Safety paranoia of today I wouldn't have recreated the sitting down today as it was raining quite heavy anyway
