The Ashford Circle: 05th January 2019

This was a Rolling Blog Report
Bold = Haulage, Red = Winner, All others are sightings.

Morning all.
It's 08:40 and I'm on a train to Eastbourne. From Selhurst 377412 got me to East Croydon so I could catch the 1H10 Victoria to Eastbourne and Littlehampton train (become 1F14 from Haywards Heath to Eastbourne) 377158, 377427, 377415 to Haywards Heath then the last two units to Eastbourne.

My diagram source is on the fritz this morning so I can't look up allocations at the moment. 😔 So running 'blind' at the moment. Next update ... soon.

Update 09:49. Eastbourne is ... cold. My new haulage is 171726 2D49 Eastbourne to Ashford International. I should be at Ashford at 11:09.

New line cleared. Hastings to Ashford International has been on my list for a while now. Only thing that spoiled it was the teenage scooter losers trying to act all tough ... in reality they look immature and foolish. Decisions, decisions ....

11:32 to Tonbridge or 12:32 to Tonbridge???? Then walk to Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf. If i get the 11:32 then I can pop to 'spoons for lunch.

11:32 2G74 Dover Priory to Victoria is boarded and I'm enroute to Tonbridge 375715, 375627 taking me there. It's very cold ... beginning to wish I'd brought a flask of coffee as well as my hip flask of JDs ....

14:00 update. Well I can recommend the Wetherspoons in Tonbridge. Nice meal, nice cider. After a diversion to a shop for the wife I'm back on a train. 14:04 2T39 Tonbridge to Strood and another new line for me with 375304 being my haulage now.

Jack Daniels Time Time to beak open the JDs Hip flask.

Lets see what I managed to get from Strood ...

Update 15:00. Penultimate leg now ... 1F43 Strood to St Pancras International 395018 leading the way.

Update 16:00. St Pancras to East Croydon and a 700. 9T43 to Brighton is the shape of 700134.

Final instalment.
Got to East Croydon in time for the 17:20 to Selhurst 455841 took me back. Sadly the train was full of wingnuts chanting Eagles at anything that moved.
