Barnham to Bognor 313 bashing: 14th January 2023

It was a very last minute decision to go out on a bit of a trip. The wife wanted to go to Chichester but her cold has knocked her for six. I didn’t want to stay in and suffer the chicken flick marathon she had planned.
Bold = Haulage, Red = Winner, All others are sightings.
I had choices.

• Up to Cambridge and back to get a 387 and possibly a couple more if I was lucky.
• Over to HS1 and pick off the three remaining 395s I need for haulage.

I sort of decided to go to Cambridge so off to Croydon (no trains at all through Selhurst today). Approaching the station I was still not 100% sure what I wanted to do. Then it occurred to me: the class 313s. I looked up the next trinity to Barnham and I had 8 minutes to wait.
1C24 London Bridge to Southampton Central/Portsmouth arrived so on I got. 377155, 377469 (non winners).
It was good run but it was a little concerning that almost all the field between Horsham and Barnham were badly flooded. I arrived at Barnham at 12:29 which left me a reasonable time to wait for my first 313.

2P32 Barnham to Bognor Regis 313204 ( winner) left on time. I caught 2P25 Bognor Regis to Barnham again with 313204 doing the honours (Now a non winner but cleared for 5 miles).

I grabbed a roll from the café on the platform, but wished I hadn’t. It wasn’t the best. Next was 2P34 Littlehampton to Bognor Regis 313216 (winner) and on the same one back as 2P79 Bognor Regis to Barnham (non winner but cleared for 5 miles).

Next up was another 'cop' working 2P38 Littlehampton to Bognor Regis 313207 (winner) then back again as 2P81 Bognor Regis to Barnham (non winner but cleared for 5 miles).

Now for the final 313 of the day. 2P42 Littlehampton to Bognor Regis 313220 (non winner but cleared for 5 miles). Now at Bognor it was time to go home again.
1C47 Bognor Regis to London Bridge 377115, 377128 then at Horsham 377431 attached.

At East Croydon I took the tram 2557 to West on the way home.
