Cruising To Cambridge: 4th February 2023


With 313210 not booked to work today I sought out a unit I needed for Haulage.
Bold = Haulage, Red = Winner, All others are sightings.

I had a look at the 395s, the 387/3s and couple of others. Also I was going to be starting fairly late (for me).
I started off at Selhurst and tweeting with the hashtag #RailwayAdventure
2J19 Slhurst to East Croydon 377621 [0m 77ch] non winner
A walk over to platform 2 to catch a train to London. I managed to make a late running Thameslink. 9J24 East Croydon to St Pancras International 700145 [13m 40ch] non winner.
At St Pancras I headed straigbht for the 'Spoons for a Brunch. Having not eaten since last night I was pretty darn hungry.
After I popped upstair to EMR side to look at the Eurostar trains. Out of the three in I needed just the one.
Over to Kings Cross and after having a look at the oferings I spent a little time chatting to old friends and waited on platform 8/9 to watch the coming and goings of thte trains. My train came in to whisk me off to Cambridge.
1T34 Kings Cross to Cambridge 387306, 387112 [59m 72ch] 306 a winner and cleared for target miles. 11w non winner.

At Cambridge there was a couple of 387s but also 720562 and an unidentified 720 or 745.
My train back was 1T37 Cambridge to Kings Cross 387120, 387129 [59m 72ch] both non winners.
Down in the concrete box of St Pancras International I took 9J41 St Pancras International to East Croydon 700151 [13m 40ch] non winner.
With my train arriving on platfomr 6 it was easy to get 2J48 East Croydon to Selhurst 377605 [0m 77ch] non winner.
