So the wife and I decided wee needed a day out and it was a split decision between Great Yarmouth or Torquay. The weather made our decision.

An early start from home and on a bus to Croydon.

I was a little surprised at how quickly we got to Liverpool Street. We even managed to grab a bacon roll and a drink for the journey up to Norwich.
1P06 Liverpool Street to Norwich 745003 [114m 38ch] ✅ Winner and cleared for 20 miles.
The trip up was uneventful and nice. I do like the 745s for comfort and ride although the raised seating can cause the odd problem if you forget. The weather report was now showing rain but we weren't phased. We did manage to get to WHSmiths for a bottle of water.
2C50 Norwich to Great Yarmouth via Berney Arms 755330 [20m 46ch] ✅ winner and cleared for 5 miles
We had a brilliant day out and I can throughly recommend Fish And Grill on Marine Parade. The meal we had was worth every penny and the cider came with frozen berries. It came time to head home so we took the long walk up the hill, stopping at Subway for our dinner, to the station.
Great Yarmouth station is nothing fancy but it's one of those station the I really like. It reeks of the old British Rail days and it's not changed since 1988 when the wife (then girlfriend) and I had our first holiday together.

A brisk walk from to platform 1 and 1P59 Norwich to Liverpool Street 745002 [114m 38ch] ✅ winner and cleared for 20 miles.
On route the brakes were applied quite heavily due to a signal issue which caused us a delay of about 6 minutes. EVen this didn't dampen our spirits.
At Liverpool Street we caught 9Y07 Liverpool Street to Farringdon 345049 [0m 57ch] ✅
The old up and over at Farringdon allowed us to catch 9T61 Farringdon to East Croydon 700137 [12m 16ch] ❌ Non winner.
This allowed us to catch the 2M69 East Croydon to Selhurst 377701 [0m 77ch] ❌ non winner
