A iter ad Eboracum: 11th Novenber 20233

If your Latin is a little rusty (or like me - nonexistant) it means a trip to York.
Bold = Haulage, Red = Winner, All others are sightings.

This wasn't a big unit bash, track grice or mega spotting trip. This was a trip with the wife for a bit of fun.

From Croydon we caught 9T00 East Croydon to St Pancras International 700133 non winner [13m 40ch]. This allowed us enough time to view the 2023 Christmas Tree made from books.
Then it was over to Kings Cross. After aquiring a Pigs In Blankets toastie from Costa up stairs we made a quick beeline for our train.
1S06 Kings Cross to York 801221 ✅ winner [188m 40ch]. A pretty uneventful trip saw us arrive in York on time.

I can recommend the Cross Keys pub around the back of the Minster and just a short walk from the Monk Bar Model Railway shop.
Later back at the station there had been a landslip north of Darlington so trains were rather delayed.
1E19 York to Kings Cross 801202 non winner [188m 40ch].
It rolled in some 20 minutes late and the dealy continued all the way back ending in an arrival at Kings Cross 26 late. After than we needed some food so popped in the the Barrel Vault.
Downstairs to the concrete box and on to 9R53 St Pancras International to East Croydon 700153 (non winner) [13m 40ch].
At Croydon we cross from platform 6 to 5 and on to 2K62 East Croydon to Selhurst 377308, 377307 (non winner) [0m 77ch].
