As our daughter was at university in Lincoln for three years we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on a number of occasions.
First a bit of a warning: Prices at ALL the Lincoln hotels vary. September can be expensive due to the students moving back to Uni and parents staying over and also graduation is around this time. Generally the prices were not too bad outside of the "busy" times.
The breakfast us included in the price and is a buffet style one. We always had the breakfast there as it was very good.
The rooms are well appointed nad clean. Not once have we had any issues with the rooms or the cleanliness.
It is a little way from the station about a XX minute walk. Almost next door is a McDonalds and just a little further on is a Morrison Store.
