A Bit Of Family History & A Depot

My Great Uncle was the Station Master at Longport back in the 1950s and having research our family's history since the 90s I have often wanted to have a visit and get some photos.
Also there is the Longport Freight Depot [EMD] in Bradwell Street. It's about a 10 minute walk so it's quite manageable to do the depot and get station photos.

The Plan

1H06 07:53 Euston to Manchester Piccadilly arrives Stoke On Trent: 09:27
2K44 10:00 Stoke On Trent to Crewe arrives Longport: 10:05
or
1H09 08:53 Euston to Manchester Piccadilly arrives Stoke On Trent: 10:27
2K46 11:00 Stoke On Trent to Crewe arrives Longport: 11:05

Then it'll be time to to take photos at the station and do the walk to the Depot.
I would really like to get a good shot of 66048. Locomotive No. 66048 was working the first ever southbound Stobart Rail service by DB Schenker when it derailed on 04/01/2010. In freezing temperatures and snowy conditions, the front portion of the freight train, which was travelling from Inverness towards Perth on the Highland Main Line, derailed at Carrbridge station. The derailed portion of the train came to rest on an embankment, close to some houses. The driver and technician onboard the train suffered minor injuries. Damage was caused to private property, to the derailed train and to the infrastructure of the railway.

The loco had been repainted at Toton especially for this new contract the previous week. No one was killed or seriously injured in the accident. However, as can be seen, the locomotive was damaged that much, it written off. The Highland mainline was closed for 8 days until 12/01/2010 when it partially reopened, at reduced capacity.

From Longport I have the choice of three trains (depending on previous trains caught).
2K46 11:05 Longport to Crewe
2K48 12:05 Longport to Crewe
2K60 13:05 Longport to Crewe
This will allow me to tick off another new line between Kidsgrove Jn and Crewe [8m 45ch].

From Crewe I have choices of either The LNWR or Avanti West Coast trains back to London.
From here I could catch one of the LNWR trains via Northampton to Euston and thus tick off the line between Hillmorton Jn and Hanslow Jn if I I am on the earlier services or if I'm on the later ones then straight back on a fast to Euston.

A Few Stats:
Miles coverable:
Via Northampton 320m 37ch
Via direct 317m 75ch
Number of Moves: 8 via the Northampton route and 7 on the faster route.
Possible Haukage: 390, 350, 700
